Unless you need it or put it to use I don't see a roof rack as being a cool exterior accessory, but thats just me.

bimmerphile before i bought the kit, which i regret, i had the car you are speaking off minus the lighting. I even had hot girls to go skiing with. but 15 inch basketweaves instead.

my ix looks hot as hell with the rack on, i only use it in the winter for skiing, cuase its loud and doesn't exactly do wonders for gas mileage although i do have a faring.

Roof racks have a bit more characteristic meaning then a trailer hitch.

I know I know, I'm jsut teasin people. ;) When I see a roof rack on anything I think, "Oh, that's cool, they do some kind of extreme sport."

As opposed to "Oh, that roof rack is HAWT!"

Thanks for all the opinions guys! The roof rack will only be used for when the wife and I go mountain bike riding on weekends. Other than that it will pretty much stay in the house.
