    Door Sill Trim Options

Anyone running an alternative to the OEM door sill trim "kick" pieces?

I've had mine off since paint, and looking at them now they are chipped, cracked, and missing clips.

There are two problems as I see it.
    1. Covering the unfinished edge where the interior carpet meets the sill.
    2. Closing off the sill holes.

Could use "christmas tree" plugs to close the holes, but that would still leave the rough carpet edge exposed.

Pics for reference. I should probably also swap out my door seals as the eBay ones seem to leak at the bottom. I do try to keep the car out of the water as much as possible these days...

I just replaced my carpet with OEM anthracite. As part of this project, I splurged on these M Technic sill plates. As a result of that, I now have an extra pair of black sill plates in excellent condition (part # 51471888427).

in any case, I highly recommend you get the left and right sill strip that holds the carpet in place ( 51471906723 and 51471906724) along with new clips to fasten everytthing down to the door tread plate.
