Early model Recaro install questions

Hey all, looking to swap Recaros into my 03/85 build date 325e. I'm searching for some late model rails to get my Massive adapters to fit (changeover for rails was 09/85) and I had some questions:

• Old r3v posts mention the 6 studs in early models not being long enough (https://www.r3vlimited.com/board/for...t-in-older-e30). Can anyone confirm that grinding the seat rail nub works? Seems I can get a longer nut for the inner rear mount points.
• If the above doesn't work, anyone used a jam locknut to get enough thread engagement?
• Setup would go: early rails -> late sliders -> Massive adapter. Anyone who's run a similar setup have issues?

I have early bmw Recaro seats on e30 rail.
I bought Recaro seats that recline with Garagistic seat rails. I had not have to grind any thing.

What year was your early car? Mine's super early model, so I was caught off guard. Lee notified me when I went to buy the damn adapters haha

You might have e21 Recaro seats.
My are from a e30 1984 Alpina Recaro seats.
