I was thinking about making an illuminated nob, hell I
didn't even KNOW they made illuminating knobs. Back
        to the drawing board....

I like the ones Jordan and Josh are showing, think I
could make that glow? Deffinetly Painting the chrome
        though.....

I'm sure you could swap in a transparent shift pattern, they are generic for some BMW knobs. Then core a hole, add a small lamp and wire, then thats that.

my knob isnt chrome, its titanium

I just installed my UUC RK3 that I bought used for $55, brand new condition, so I was happy.

As for the knob, I love it, shifts feel solid, the knob fits in the hand perfectly, I'm very pleased with it.

I'll post pics once i get unlazy

Isnt that the one that lights up? How hard was it to install the light-up part, especially if you never had a light-up knob in the first place?

I've been reading up on it, and it doesn't look that hard. Alls you would have to
do from what I understand is reroute either an accessory wire(connected
to dim if you want it to dim) or your ashtray light wire, and drill a couple holes.
Pretty easy DIY unless you can't operate a screwdriver.

Hmmm it's odd this one didn't come up. I really like the look of this peticular knob...

They're on sale on Ebay all the time. Sadly they're a bit pricey, but I was looking at it for Christmas. And they do fit E30's.

And they have a nicer one resembling the UUC RK2 coming out soon as well, very nice.

                        Reminiscing...

Yeah, I did one to an e30 with an e36 shift knob with LEDs etc. Worked sweet
