    foot getting caught on face-board.

so the face-board that is under the steering wheel is falling off down at the bottom by the pedals. this is super sketchy because when i push down my clutch the face-board goes over my foot and holds it down..... i took it off but would really like to have it on because it makes the car come together and seem cleaner. if anyone has and ideas on how i should try to re mount this then please let me know. i would like to try to refrain from drilling and holes but if i have to then i guess i have to.

pics will be up in a little.

The lower left portion is held in place by a metal "fork" piece at the firewall. The lower right slides into a plastic clip thing on the steering column to hold it in place. The top portion is held with the small black plastic "bolts" and one near the steering column from underneath.

I threw mine in the woods after it stuck my gas pedal to the floor on a rainy day and made me do a 180 after shifting it into second. I like a clean car as much as the next guy, but not at the cost of my safety.

its probably not mounted properly/at all points. mine was sagging and after a few seconds of investigation i found that it just needed to be attached properly. nothing unsafe about the piece guys, no need to throw them away...

this. mine falls out every once in a while, but when i notice it's loose i just put it back. its worth the occasional hassle to have the car looking neat.

another fork on the far right, too.

I absolutely refuse to believe that a properly mounted (no broken shit, no sloppy connectors) piece will slip or get in the way at all, ever.

Oh yeah...we all know the airbag ones are totally different, right?
