m tech 2 wheel on air bag car

Is it possible to put a m tech wheel on a air bag car. Is it similar to an aftermarket wheel where you have to use two non airbag wheel spacers or something?

I have the same question. looking at a mtech #32332226086 to go on my 92 vert. the one the guy is selling has 2 wires coming out of it for the horn? I have no idea where they'd go!

I just put a tech1 wheel on a airbag car and did have to use an extra spacer. Haven't figured out how to hook up the horn yet though.

what areyou guys all talking about? You dont need to do ANY wiring to make a non airbag wheel work on an airbag car. Take the airbag wheel off, set aside. Put the desired wheel on and add you other spacer on the front side of the wheel and put the nut on and torque it down. Your horn should work without any wiring being done. All e30 steering wheels work the same.

you probably messed something up pulling the old wheel off. All the e30 wheels work the same. So unless you popped a wire off or you arent using an e30 wheel, everything should work right.

The horn works off of a contact patch that completes the ground to the horn allowing it to make noise. So you probably have to make sure that you actually have an e30 wheel

Yea there's a spring loaded wear pin in the center that makes contact on the brass ring on the backside of the wheel with conductive grease on it. also there is a little spade connector that connects the brass ring to the horn button/s make sure there is continuity there.

Oh, alright. I could make one probably then. I thought there was maybe a weird spline or something.

If you take your steering wheel off there is one there put by the factory. Find another one off a different car or buy one online and put it on the top side of the wheel. Works perfect
