    One touch + e36 switches...

    Hey,

I'll be buying some e36 window switches soon from a 328i that is being parted out. Before I buy, I'll be making sure the bottoms are white, not sure if they are or not.

I was wanting to get the one touch module and retro fit that into my car too - does anyone know there this is in the E36, so I can tell him to grab that for me?

Also - would that work to make my windows one tocuh in conjunction with the swithces?

    Help is appreciated!

    Thanks,

    Sean

If you're going to do the one-touch mod, you can't use the white base swtiches. I think the one-touch switches are green.

Ohh, ok. Then i use the module with the green switches? Do the green switches illuminate too?

AND - where is the one-touch module located? I haven't the slightest clue!

Ouch. lol Why are there so many wires?

If that's the case, how would I go one touch with E36 window switches??

there are aftermarket one touch kits available.. not sure of any specific brands though. I'd love to have one touch for at least my sunroof, although all 4 windows would be pretty sweet.

autolok makes one... but you have to have a separate relay for each window and they're $40 a piece... i guess since you only have two windows its not a big deal, but i'm hatin the fact that i have 4 :-/

you've got to do that with the one touch e36 switches pretty much

I thought about doing a full e36 harness into my e30, what do you guys think, has it been done?

I saw not worth it, rolling down the window isn't that hard.

I am happy with my normal functioning E36 switches

So, are the normal e36 switches just plug and play? The normal ones are white underneath?

Yeah, you need the white ones, and some very entry-level wiring is required. You also have to enlarge the holes in the console a tad, but nothing too complicated.
