              I'd just like to point out that it's not necessary to have your seat in an upright position as it's been said by everyone here.

              I've gone to great lengths to get my driving position the way I want it;
              I custom fabbed a seat bracket with Bill centering the seat with the steering wheel (a problem with aftermarket seats in e30s), also putting the seat back far enough for me to fit perfectly, and low enough for me to fit in the car with a helmet on. Also the seat bottom had to be adjusted so that I would be sitting correctly with the seatback tilted a little bit back.
              I'm in the process of bringing the steering wheel down ~3/4" and towards me ~2.5-3.5" (depending on what I prefer)
              The seating position that everyone is referring to works well for short periods of time, though it puts FAR more stress on your back and limits circulation to your legs. This is potentially dangerous over extended driving periods, especially for those with dual-duty cars.
