    Fixing Fuel Gauge in cluster

My fuel gauge is never working right. It bounces back and fourth.
At the JY last saturday, I got the chance to see a cluster from behind.
However, I still don't know how to correct this problem,
    can anyone chime in?

If it bounces, make sure all connections are clean and the grounding nut is clean/tight. The fuel gauge reads from the sensor(s) in the tank. Not very complicated, especially if you download / read the ETM for your particular car.

I just had this problem and it's was the left rear sending unit/tube. I think that's what it's called... It's easy just remove the back seat and behind the drivers seat there is a black cover. Remove the connection and and the tube and replace it with other one from the JY. Let me know.

hmm, are you sure its the unit under the rear seat?
Whenever I knock the dash with my hands, it jumps around-
...i removed the rear seat when doing the fuel pump, and it got smelly last time.

pull the cluster and check the nut on the backside of the gauge. Mine was doing it, pulled the cluster and i didnt even have the a nut on there.

          good luck my friend
