What I did with the shift boot was...grab some fabric, sew the edge almost closed, test fit on car, it fit, so I just placed the shift boot ring ON the fabric into it's place, then test the shift pattern to make sure there wasn't any tight spots. Cut the fabric with a straight razor and secured it to the shift ring thing with hot glue. You are all lucky if you had a shift boot to start with and use it to make a template, haha
