Started changing out my interior to black vinyl/leather whatever...

First start unscrewing anything you can.

    I did...

No wonder why my sound was horrible...

    Back Seats off...

    Back Seats on...

Door panels on (didn't put the thing around the door handle painting it...)

I don't like the way tan stains and gets dirty. Plus, it was cloth...

You switched out the carpet right??

Looks good. Makes me really wanna do black - but gray works out ok. 8)

Not sure if they had black carpet. I got this carpet from Jordan. Front carpet I am taking it to an upholster place today. (cause there is a bunch of a/c shit under there.

What I meant was - did you keep the tan carpet in there?

And, you're actually going to put the effort into switching the carpet underneath the heatercore box? I just left mine as is. No one can see it, so why would it matter? :)

(Well not me but an interior shop)I am cutting around it cause I can't/don't want to disassemble everything. For now it still sits in there but by tomorrow should be ready.

I love my tan clothe interior. Did you save the seats by any chance? Your look in much better shape than mine do.

I still don't understand the logic going from clothe to vinyl, but to eat his own.

They really werent in the best condition. The sport seats are sold. I have the rear bench. On the rear bench I believe the top half is fine and the bottom half there is like a cigarette burn. The door and quarter panels are fine (let me remind you they are vinyl/cloth). Make me an offer if interested or I can take pics if you want.

Well, today I called ABC Interiors (the people doing my carpet) and they said it would be ready at noon. Turns out it will be ready tomorrow. (I hate when shops do this).

I also got my seats today. So I set those up and man I can't wait to put them in.

See, my car was beat on the outside, and aside from buying weaves instead of the generic, warped "ultra" wheels on it when I bought it, the euro grey market car stayed as is. Oh, and roundels front and rear.

Anyways, I invested pretty much all of my extra cash into my interior. I figure, it's what I see the most of the car, it's where I spend most of my time, why not make that nice first? Screw the people on the outside, this is MY car :) And with a crappy burgundrot PJ and dented rear euro bumper, I was still happy when I got in my car.

I had the relatively rare setup you did - sport tan cloth - but mine was beat beyond recognition. Maybe RobS has pics somewhere - I traded them to him with cash for my latest interior. The door panels were trash too.

I went for grey cloth because I love the grip of cloth, and the fact that it doesn't get nearly as hot as leather or vinyl, but black has been overdone, and I like grey :) Last year I had a set of late style black door panels to complement it. This year I swapped with someone for all grey. Pics this week, but IMO grey interior is the median between everything. Tasteful, easier to keep clean, not overdone, and looks great :)

Your seats look amazing. New (or new looking;)) seats are a night and day difference for us E30 owners. Congrats!
