dead petal

okay: i have a 86 325es and my dead petal is really soft- like i just feels like im pushing on foam and its been bugging me. are all e30s like this? or am i missing something from under it? i wanted to buy a petal kit but how the heck would i put in the metal plate to this carpet??. it does not make sense, other bmw's have like a plastic dead peatal or something. i got a gay soft petal :(

yes. that is where im looking at. but i cant mount a metal plate to a soft foam dead petal

Get a hold of Brian there and tell him the problem you are having. He can custom make it any way you like.

massive lee makes dead pedals too. The dead pedal stands off the ground.

My foam behind my carpet was not overly squishy,no.

Mine's pretty squishy, I pulled back the carpet a little bit, all that's back there is like 4" of a foam wedge.

Does your e30 leak water into the cabin area?

In my old car I had the same issue with a soft "foot rest," "dead pedal" and it turned out that a rusty firewall was the problem...

Also, "pedal" is spelled "P" "E" "D" "A" "L", Not: Petal, peatal etc...

Another question about dead pedals is what fit well in a vert with its unigue space requirements due to its structural reinforcement?

I don't believe Massive Lee's stuff fits because the dead pedal is too close to the clutch.
