    Amber was chosen by BMW and is still used by them because the human eye can adjust quickly to seeing amber in dark conditions, also your eyes are not overwhelmed by the color when looking out over the dash to drive. So to recap, amber allows you to glance at your gauges at night and get the info you need and also lets you drive without being blinded by your own gauges.

    And just for good measure, no!

    if you want to be a ricer just look up "E30 glow gauges" on ebay and pick the bluest ones you can find.

    It is amber, has anyone done anything different? If so how did you do it? I noticed that the parts that direct light up under the gauges are amber. Just wondering, I would like mine blue :)
