Best factory e30 wheel period. I have both tech 1 and 2. It makes your car feel awesome it gives a much higher level of sensitivity compared to a heavy airbag wheel.

False and if it were then no one would be able to fit the E30 M Tech 2 wheels on airbag cars would they? E30's have the same splines (AFAIK), it's just the spacing between SRS and non SRS that's different so spacers are required to shim the wheel down. E36 wheels aren't compatible unless you machine the splines to work on an E30.

Hi everyone!

I heard a rumor, that the late e30 with srs airbag wheels had the same splines on the upper steering spindle as the e36 so if I change the spindle I might put on an e36 m-tech 2 steering wheel.

Is there any chance for the rumor is true? :)
Can anyone tell me some information about the e30 SRS spindles? Spindle number and diameter please.

It was great while I was driving with it, though. I love the feel, and the smaller diameter was really nice.

Just picked up an MtechII. I loved the look but didn't know how they felt until the other day. Turns out my buddy has one in his E36 M3.
