Hi...
OK well I had the traditional hole in the hip bolster on my left side, and the stuffing was coming out, you could see the metal...so I upgraded the seat to a recaro same color -- bought used seats --- and I knew this ---
but the seat I bought also has the same problem, just not as bad. There is a hole in the leather about 2 inches by and inch on the left driver side bolster, and while the stufing is not coming out you can see the yellow foam. I think it is getting worse... so.. how do I fix this?
The first attempt at fixing my original seat with a leather repair kit ended in disaster - the resulting plastic/resin covered area just wore right through again. For this seat, my friend said to cut a piece of material off the old seat, insert it into the whole (make it a little bigger), then use some kind of adhesive to keep it there, and possibly a leather repair kit to go over it from the top. Hmm...I'll do it but I don't want to if it is just going to break again...then I am better off getting a pro to work on it...
