Found sports steering wheel at Pull a Part

I know I need a horn button. Would something like this work:
Find many great new & used options and get the best deals for BMW e30 e24 325 318 Wheel Horn Button w/Emblem at the best online prices at eBay! Free shipping for many products!

Didn't know if basically all horn buttons on E30's that looked like this were all the same or if there were slight differences between years.

You're right. Didn't really think about it when I pulled it. Any ideas on do it yourself covers?

Just rock it until you can afford a really nice wheel. getting a steering wheel recovered is not cheap. If your gonna spend that kind of money you should get a nice aftermarket wheel or at least a mint mtech 1 wheel.

You're right. Was just looking and just getting a Wheelskin is $50. And the way it is now, it doesn't feel bad. There's no point in spending that kind of money when a nicer wheel can be had for the same money. Or maybe something nicer will pop up at Pull a Part. Just needed a change from my stock 4 spoke wheel.

On a funny note, the steering column was locked and I couldn't get the wheel off at first. My key worked in the lock cylinder. :D

I have found mtech 1 wheels at least 3 I can remember... 12.50 a piece one was in the dirt I took it home spent a few hours cleaning dyeing and conditioning it and it looked pretty good.

I’m secretly a fan of those sport wheels..

Like the simplicity and general shape.

Looks nice but not spending that on a $10 wheel. Haha. I just put it in and I'm gonna see what it's like to drive with tomorrow. All I need is a horn button now. I thought about wrapping it with some sort of sport wrap tape. Just don't know how that would stand up to the heat and humidity here. Or maybe something like this:

Did you go to the Columbia pull a part? I've been meaning to go by there and grab some things.

Yep. They had 3 E30's out there sunday. 2 84 325E's, 1 coupe and 1 sedan, pretty stripped. 1 87 318is (I believe), that still had a few things. Except for a steering wheel. :D It was hot as hell out there sunday! I grabbed a few switches that apparently had been sitting in the floor board a while, because the metal prongs on the side were rusty, but felt the need to get them anyways. It sucks, cause you want to buy all this stuff you don't need cause it's cheap. :D
