seat repair? help

Anyone know the best way to repair a tear on an original e30 leather-vinyl seat without having to reupholster it. I had a screw driver in my back pocket and forgot about it. I tore a nice hole in my seat. I also scrapped the upper seat with my cuffs awhile back and now its starting to tear. Any suggestions?
