    Heater control light bulb replacement

Is there a semi-easy way to accomplish? Did it years ago on my eta 325 by trial and error; it was a real PITA. Now the same flippin' bulb has gone out on my 91 318is and I really dread having to take half the dash apart to access the bulb. Bentley is no help, nor is the owners manual.

    Any clever tricks?

    TIA

reach from behind. Either from bottom, remove radio or glovebox trim.

yes, there is an opening just below the heater switches. If you feel up there you should be able to get to the socket and just pull it free. Earlier models had it located above the switch so it was very hard to get it. Later models relocated it below. yes you need fairly small fingers but it is manageable.
