    Dash Swap!

What does one all replace during a dash swap?

I know the A/C Heater vents should be replaced or fixed (so they don't drop down after every bump!) But what else should be done? I know the swap takes quite some time, so I want to try and limit the amount of times I have to go back in there by knocking out a lot of the things at the same time.

    Thanks, Preston

I'm in the same boat. Think I'm just gonna tear it apart and see what I come up with

An easy way to fix the vents is to put a small o-ring over the pivot pin on one side.

so you're saying cut an o-ring and slip it around the pin?

or put the fuzzy side of a piece of velcro against one of the sides, it should tighten up the gap and make the vent hold its position

Those are both great ideas. Anything else I should do while I'm in there though?

Heater core? Its probably easier without the dash in the way.

Hey bro. Funny thing, My name is Preston as well, lol. Small world. Some things I plan on doing while I do mine is to swap the expansion valve for the a/c (you have to pull the dash if it ever goes out) and replace the foam seal for the blower box (where the dash vent tube meets the blower box right on top when the dash is out) I am sure I am missing some things here.
