I no has vaders. They are late m3 sedan seats, essentially power e36 seats with ///M stripe headrests. I think the power feature makes them taller, but then again I don't know. I just need one seat for the drivers side, the rest I'll leave stock, in this car anyway.

Ohhhhh, I thought that you had vaders. I've destroyed my sport seat because I'm too big for e30 sport seats.

How is the e36 seat? I assue too small. I would say sit in cars till you find one that works and make it fit into the e30.

Not too small, but too tall.

I fit fine in E30 sports, but mine were destroyed, so I got some E36 sports. I'm a 32-33 waist, and I have room to move around in them, but they are extremely comfortable. Even though they sit on 7/16" brackets, I sit maybe a 1/2" higher than in an E30 sport seat (1/2" lower than an E30 comfort), thereby leaving me ample headroom.

I would highly recommend this swap to anyone needing more space. I will try to take some pics once I fix my brakes and get the car in the light.

Maybe it's just me, but anyone with a 32-33" waist has NO reason being in a thread where people with 44" waists are talking.

Not to mention I was talking about how the exact seats you spoke of were too small for my situation...

Question, are manual vaders lower than power e36 sedan seats at their lowest?

No, its not just you. That kid could fit in Yugo seats just fine.

Don't you have an m3? Does it have power vaders in it?

I parted an m3/4/5 and thought about installing the power sedan seats, but they are too tall, even all the way down.

Hmmmm. Man, I wish I could help you in your quest. My girlfriend always tells me I need bigger seats so I told her that you're 6'9" and can't believe you fit at all.

Bumpo? I might start to DD an e30, so I'm gonna need to figure this out...

Also, I'm almost down to a 40 now, but I know I need more than just losing weight.

Most people are going to poo-poo this, but the RSX-S seats I have in my e30 articulate down and are plenty wide. I have 4th Gen Prelude seats in my 4Runner and they are too narrow all the way around. I will snag a picture of the driver's seat and the relation to the door jamb to give you an idea.

6' 9" in a e30 is a task. It really does sound like custom.

But then again some big people can fit in a hyundai tiburon. Maybe adapt those? What other cars sit on the floor?

I still want a reclining back, but I'm open to floor mount race seats too. I can drive an e30 with comfort seats, all the way back, and the upright leaned back further than I would like. Sports, not so much, little tougher.
