Sport seat repair - seat base tilt

I'm pulling apart my passenger side sport side to fix the mechanisms (seat back tilt works, thigh bolster works, nothing else (yet)) but while I've found at least two good tutorials:

    and

Neither, and no one else that I have found, tackles the seat base tilt that activates with the middle control on the side of the base (the lever fully in the picture).

There appear to be a set of ratcheting teeth on the bottom of the seat base by the front cross-member that move when the lever is pushed.

      locking, as it turns out

just needed a little wd-40 and exercise. Wiped it down, added some more appropriate lube, and all back together With all functions working perfectly. Leather is a bit cracked, but I'll leave re-upholstery for another time. The finished product, waiting for me to get some anti-seize for the floor bolts:

And done: lots of lube and one L-bracket weld later.

I am glad you were able to fix it, those look like some nice vert. seats.
