I found these recaros replicas on cl and thought i should get rid of my vaders and get these. What brackets do i need and how much will they cost? Can i use my Vaders Brackets? Btw are these sr replicas?
meaning im sketchy or the link is sketchy? lol
i dont care ill end up getting those seats from a different person i just wanna know my shit b4 i buy it
Ya I am sure I can get them for 150 a pair. I was just concerned how much will it cost for the bracket and etc. I will most probably cover them in a different cloth later on.
They are ok. My father in law threw some of the same ones in his yj Jeep. They don't hold up too well though, 3 months in, the driver side bolster is sagging and there in a huge crater under his ass. Cheap seats equals cheap materials
Having owned several sets of Recaro type seats. I will say this...not all reps are junk but most are. You really need to see them in person to tell the difference. Reupholstering will negate the quality of cloth material but the plastic knobs, reclining mechanism and padding need to be addressed . If you don't typically have people in the backseat, it may not be much of an issue. It all depends. The more expensive SRD reps like Yonaka (still cheap) and Tenzo Type R are pretty decent for the money. I just don't know about the supercheap $150 pr seats. I've had them all and eventually sold them and got JDM Recaro's. You can find them cheap second hand (you are reupholstering anyway) and genuine Recaro.

Man, I can't spoon feed everything to you. SEARCH! There's many alternatives for brackets. There are two main types of under seat brackets...tabbed and untabbed. You will have to match the sliders to the bracket and vice versa. You cannot use a "tabbed" slider with a non tabbed bracket. Then there's the adapters that adapt the stock E30 slider/bracket combo to aftermarket recaro's. Installing custom seats is a lot more than just buying seats! Expect to spend about $300-600 on good sliders/brackets, maybe less for the adapters since they work with stock E30 hardware.
