Hey everyone I have getting a lot of excessive road noise when traveling 40mph+ and its coming from the rear of my e30. I do have the spring pads on my rear coilovers as well. Could it be the top hats for the shocks that are worn out? or suspension bushings? I have to turn up the radio to drown out the road noise. I am also on new falken 912s so I don't think its the tires. thanks if you can help!

1+ on OPs question... I too am amazing shocked at the AMAZING difference between driving my e30 m3 and my e46 wagon.... I was thinking weather stripping on my car might need to be replaced. I can sometimes hear wind almost as if my window were open JUST A HAIR...(oo=[][]=oo)

Are you sure none of the noise is coming from the differential?Interested in vintage cars? Ever thought about racing one? Info, photos, videos, and more can be found at www.michaelsvintageracing.com!

I just swapped in a 3.23 lsd from a 99 m coupe, so not the diff for me. I feel like I get a good amount of noise from the engine bay and transmission tunnel. Would a worn out guibo add some noise?(oo=[][]=oo)

The 40mph+ bit still points to diff noise for me, unless a CV joint on a rear half shaft has gone bad.Interested in vintage cars? Ever thought about racing one? Info, photos, videos, and more can be found at www.michaelsvintageracing.com!
