    Why doesnt this fit?

    Can you guys chime in on this? fitment issue.

    I have this two button partition -

    but is doesnt fit in my 318is, not to mention, I need a three button cuz of breaker, the part # from OEM for my VIN is #51161941830.

    The real question is what makes this partition not fit? Are there different part #'s for three button vs two button, auto vs std

    Can someone identify what storing partition is correct?

    Airbag model vs non-airbag if I'm not mistaken.

      I don't think they're different for airbag cars...at least, not from what I've seen. It should fit fine.

          That's what I understood...

          The only part # diff I can find is A/C versions, anyway here is a pic of what the piece hits when I try to install. WTF?

          In the second pic you can even see the small pile of foam from me effn with it. Do you guys have this same piece of metal?

              airbag models are different than non air bag models. The airbag knee bolster has a bracket which the is under the console. You can make it fit with some trimming

                          You have a 84-87 console. You need a 90-91 (airbag) console.
