    What seats for my car?

My car recieved new seats for christmas, and I need to deciede what to get.
I am thinking about Corbeau TRS or GTS but I am not entirely shure what to get.

Are shell seats to much of a pain in the ass and too uncomfortable for daily driving? My car gets driven around town a little, but it gets driven to and from college which is a 2.5 hour drive. I am a larger guy, 38" waist, so I dont want somthing that will be too snug.

I am going to hit the autocrosses pretty hard this summer so I need somthing with good holding.

Give me your input and suggestions please.

Most Corbeau seats are made for 34" waist, you are probably going to need to order the "wide" versions to be comfortable.

Corbeau shells are seriously lacking in padding, I wouldn't recommend them for daily use. Mine have been ok but I am switching back to sport seats for a reason.

I want matching seats, one normal seat with one aftermarket seat looks gay

What's your budget? I would try staying away from Corbeau if you can, but at the very least don't buy any fixed back seats unless you really need them. Not being able to access the back seat is annoying too.

looks gay, but you have a comfortable seat instead of a crappy cheap one. and the seat holds in you place better. and it's not like your passenger really will care stock sport versus aftermarket recaro, if you even have one.

            cost/benefit of having a matching seat. . . . .

Your car is primarily a daily driver right? I am going to give my honest opinion, though I doubt it will matter to you.

You are not going to get a race seat that is very comfortable in that price range. You will not even benefit from race seats (besides the bling factor) unless you autocross at least twice a month or do a lot of HPDE's. If your seats are shot, spend the money on either recovering sport seats if you have them, or buy a set of sport seats if you have non-sports.

they are not entirely for bling ... my seats are ripping and horribly uncomfortable.
Keep in mind that they didnt stop using horse hair untill 85 or 86

I figured that was the case... I say recover them if they are sport seats, or buy a mint pair of sport seats on here for ~$400 and spend the rest elsewhere.

corbeau lost its FIA homologation due to shady practices with the independent analyst board.

Well, I am just warning you that on your 2.5 hour drive you are going to have back/butt pain with Corbeaus. But I can't think of any other racing seats in that price range.
