I picked up a set of E30 M3 fronts the other day. Neither will recline. Not sure what the deal is. The handle actuates just fine, but it obviously isn't doing anything.
Any suggestions?

It's a pretty simple system. First I'd removed the plastic covers over the pivot and make sure the linkage is actuating.
It'd really be best to give all that stuff a good cleaning and regrease it with something like white lithium grease.

Both covers came off on both seats to fix a folding forward issue (one cable came off on each side,) so while I was in there, I actuated the handle to make sure the linkage wasn't binding up, and it moved freely.
