What's the story on this armrest?

Is this armrest an OEM option? IX option? Something else?

    It's on a 325ix for sale in WV: http://martinsburg.craigslist.org/cto/3593831223.html

Apparently it was sold by Bavauto. The bracket attaches to the driver's seat. There's been at least three for sale recently.

Notice that the bracket is different on this one

    Installed (not mine)

Here's another pic I stole from the classified that best shows how it's installed. Looks like you gotta put screws through the seat leather. Anyone with first hand knowledge?

The last couple went for $50 or less. I traded a set of euro grills for one. But they're NLA and they rarely come up for sale, so it's sort of a seller's market.
