    Steering wheel foam?

I removed the damaged leather from one of my wheels and since some parts were glued like a rock (30y old wheel), small bits of foam also came off.
Is there something these can be filled in with?

Can you post a pic of the wheel and the damaged areas? I have a couple ideas, did some research on this.

I don't have the wheel here but they're just bits here and there, maybe the size of a half-peanut. Like if you pinched and tore.
I've thought about using silicone, since it's soft when dried, can be shaped into the hole and should stick nicely.

I think I know what you've got going on, I had some bits pull up on a wheel I'm working on. I've posted on the auto upholstery forum asking for advice; I'll keep you in the loop.

Found a couple products: presstocel and plastazote.

Presstocel is brand name landau padding. Any landau top padding will come in thin enough sheets and be up to the task without degrading.

Plastazote is a dense closed cell foam, sometimes used for making cutout padded cases.

The few trimmers I spoke to recommended against using silicone but said either of these foams will work well and have the correct feel. I hope this helps.

you can also buy dense cell foam (similar to your wheel) from a fabric/craft store and glue in the chunks. then shape as you need to with a razor and sanding.
