I have that same shift knob, except in the brushed aluminum finish. I also had the one that was leather with a chrome shift pattern plaque on top. The best thing about these shift knobs, is that they give the feel and appearance of a short shift kit because the knob is about 1/2" - 3/4" shorter than 90% of the BMW shift knobs.

I will snap a pic of mine today and post it if I get a chance.

I have the same knob... i got the polised version, and i bought the motorsport pattern for the top. I am happy with the knob itself, but the finish is terrible. After about a month of having it these scratches appeared, and kept getting worse, so after about 3 months of ownership I tried to polish it in the car, and gave up quickly becasue nothing was happening. After about 6 months it got really crappy looking, so i removed the knob from vehicle to polish it..... the knob has a clear coat and the knob itself was not scrathced.... the finish below the clear coat was cracking

I'm going to get that knob for sure, I just can't decide if I want to get the brushed aluminum finish, or the black leather.

That knob is hot. Definately going to purchase the leather/aluminum one.
                              Glad I found this thread.
