Best way to dye cabrio top storage lid from tan to black

Hey guys so I just picked up a 89 cabrio. It came with a beat to shit tan interior so I swapped out my old wrecked cabrio's rip free black interior. It looks great I'm just trying to figure out how to dye the top storage lid or what ever its called. I'm guessing its vinyl not leather? I have one with a black section from my wrecked car but the paint is silver so I'm guessing it would be easier to just dye the section on my new car rather than painting the metal part on the other one.

Any suggestions are welcome.

I just did this. Get duplicolor vinyl spray and take the top off mask and spray. Easy as pie. Also you can do your carpet with the same stuff.

Duplicolor black looks terrible...fake, plastic, and shiny. You might as well use Krylon.

SEM Landau black is the best choice if you want it to look original and high quality.

Take my word for it. Duplicolor looks like, well...Duplicolor.
It will not match anything on your car.

Top is Duplicolor, bottom is SEM.

I mean. You can get a flat duplicolor rather than gloss. And I don't know what the price is on the sem, but the duplicolor is like $7 a can so if its cheaper buy sem for the cards and duplicolor for the carpet.

I'd get 2 cans to be safe. It took me a full can to paint the trim on my moonroof. 3-4 coats is more than it seems.
