That's exactly what happened to mine. My knob was already kind of wiggly so I just twisted it and it came off.

Don't be a bitch. Put it in 2nd gear, get two hands firmly on it and give it a sharp pull.

put the seats back, stratle that shit and pull. If you get it make sure you take the blow in your gut not in your junk. Yea that looks stock, the PO must have done some clueing. Looks like you need a new one anyway so just take some big channel locks and twist that shit. The last time i was pulling a knob i was putting on a new one so i just twisted the knob and broke the clips. The time before that i had to run to the junk yard to get a new mirror.

Yeah, mine was epoxied on by the previous owner. I had to use a big set of channel locks to get it off by twisting and pulling.

Go down to Auto Zone and ask to rent an import shift knob puller. It's like a $20 deposit and you get it back when you return the tool.

I can't beleive how many of you pansies hit yourselves with your shiftknob. I just grab the fucker one armed and pull it up with my bicep. I do it when i am bored usually, or when waiting for the GF to get her ass out to the car. If you really can't get it out, something must be up, i suggest hitting that fucker with a mallet to break the glues grasp, then twist and pull in either direction til it finally pops off and you cater yourself in the jaw LOL.
