    found this diy of dyeing there carpet the right way with RIT DYE and salt with hot waters and cold water rinse

      Gunna to this as well. Probably going to try and find early carpet with the separate padding so i can use a smaller trash can.

        I have a big tub waiting to do this. Just need the cash to get the dye. Pulling carpet soon.

          they have many colors also and can be found at walmart around 2 bucks or so each bottle.
          cleaning stuff for the carpet can be bought at a 99cent store

            Wtf. I can't find it anywhere for less than $4.40. is there a difference between powder and liquid?

              I have only seen powder, but really it shouldn't matter. Just mix the powder with almost boiling water

                  I don't think the same method would work for our carpets because we could not fit it in a large garbage can due to all the foam backing. We would have to use a bathtub and even then it might not work.

                  I'm trying to figure out a method of dying my carpet the correct way but it seems I'll either have to get a new carpet the color I want or use the spray dye (paint).

                      It has to be completely submerged from what I've read and the E30 carpet has Styrofoam surrounded by foam and can't be folded.

                        i've folded my carpet back when I was repairing the driver side floor pan...it folded right back...
