E30 seats are notorious for breaking the bracket that mounts the seat back to the hinge. The factory piece is thin stamped steel with a welded-on nut, and it has two failure points... -
I might be about to embark on a rebuild for this motor. But it's my understanding that certain internal (and may external) parts are NLA. Any help would be greatly appreciated, but just how difficult...

The front half of my driveshaft has a clip style serviceable u joint and it feels a bit notchy. I want to replace it. Would I be foolish to try and replace the u joint myself? I have never done a u joint...
