I have heard reports of the white/black appearance package cars having leather handbrake handles and boots but I seem to remember them having standard items. So I figured I'd ask the forum...

This handle/boot combo is said to be from an Mtech II appearance package. It is looks oem to me. But the boot is not leather, despite it looking and even feeling like leather. It has white fabric backing. I've seen another combo that looks similar on ebay. In both cases, the seller described boot as "leather".
It might be aftermarket, but, if so, it's awfully good aftermarket. I'm pretty sure the sellers who described the boot as being real leather were mistaken, rather than being deceptive (it looks that good).Last edited by robrez; 08-21-2014, 01:37 PM.sigpic

Agreed, the white backed handbrake boot is vinyl and is OEM. The OEM leather boot in my M3 has no cloth material inside at all.
