    Correct Trunk Interior

What's a BMW "correct" trunk have across the back seat divider? I have a painted metal divider with the knock-out in place, but, I could have sworn that there was a carpet/pad/cover that gave it a cleaner look from factory.

Also, did the inside of the trunk lid have any covering as well? I'm thinking that it didn't, but, wanted to confirm.

I'm finally undertaking some odds and ends after ~3yrs of getting back into an E30.

My E30 had a cardboard/fiberboard (?) thing attached to the back of the trunk/cabin divider. Not at all fancy. It's in my garage, I can take a pic tomorrow if you want. My trunk lid is bare, but I don't know if it ever had anything on it.

I have the same cardboard thing in mine... I accidently made a tear in it removing it once though, so that made me sad.
All trunk lids are bare in these cars. I've always wondered about that though... I mean they did the walls and floor with carpet, why not do the lid with something too?

Thanks guys...if you could hook me up with a pic that would be great. I'm trying to track down a nice replacement (or at least copy it). It's a subtle thing that drives me nuts every time I open my trunk.

        Thanks againJ

There was a trunk lid liner available at one time. I've only seen one in real life...

AFAIK the E30 trunk lid liner is NLA, but yes it looks great

That liner is really nice...probably as hard as a hen's tooth to find. Does seem too hard to fab up though, just need to find the right covering material to match the trunk liners.

Any love on pics of the back seat divider cover/liner?

Find an e32 trunk liner and modify to fit your trunk. I have this on mine with the big tool box/tray on it.

I'll look for a picture or will take one this weekend so you can see.

There's a ~1" lip on the bottom, but it's not really obvious in the pic.

You guys are AWESOME...thanks for the help.

I'll look into the E32 liner too, just want to tidy things up. Trying to stay stock or with mods that look like they'd be stock.
