That's exactly what I have been doing. I started with hog ringing the bolsters on the inside using the wire inserts and then pulled them tight as I could around the outside before punching the spike points through the vinyl. I found that trimming some of the excess material on either side of the seam on the inside of the bolster seemed to help a bit. I think with a little time they will work themselves into a wrinkle-free fit. After the bolsters were in place I laid the centers in and worked them to the best position. They take a little finagling, but the end result is worth it. I think I spent a few hours on the first seat bottom honing my technique and figuring out the best way to secure everything on the underside with the hog rings. The time spent will be well worth it when done though. I actually considered the red plaid myself but ultimately went with the black since it's a touch more subtle.

I picked up my interior kit from John last weekend and have started installing. It's extremely tedious work to get it to sit correctly, but you begin to get a technique once you're on a roll. This is my first front seat mocked up for a pic (no brackets installed). I used all new OEM foam so the bolsters look a little wrinkled because the new foam is not shrunken like the old. At least that's my guess. I think after being in the car for a bit with some use and heat cycles it will smooth out great. I'll make a new thread once it's all complete and installed.

I will echo the comments from the OP on John being a solid dude and standing behind his work. I have been very pleased with my order and can't wait to get it all wrapped up and in the car!

Looks awesome. I just dropped off a set of front and rear seats to John yesterday. I am excited to see the output. I considered cloth but ended up going all leather, its not a vert though.

Where did you get the rear headrest mounting kit? I'm looking to add them to my car as well.

Thanks! I've always had cloth interiors so it just made sense for me. I still need to paint my door cards, seat backs, and carpet but it's so much better than it was before.

I want to add that the wrinkles on some of the corners of my rear seats have started to work themselves out with how hot it's been lately. When I pull the back seat to install rear headrests (can't believe how expensive the mounting kit is) I'll see if they won't stretch just a bit more.

Interior look great! I recently did a vert with John's vinyl kit. The way your cloth turned out has me second guessing myself! Tough work for sure.

Good choice on the cloth, this looks really sweet. I'm probably going through John when I do my interior as well.
