it's rained quite a few times since I've put the seats in and I've learned how to fix the top so it doesn't leak. So... win/win? -
Beautiful but one mistake, cloth in a vert... have fun when it rains and soaks into that :(Leave a comment:

hey guys, Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.
its true, im currently not taking in new orders. i hope to start taking new orders by march/april. too many things goin on in life, ontop of still being backed up on kits and steering wheels.
there are two ways to do door cards that i know of;
1- sew the insert to the outside, then cover the whole door card like factory covers.
2- make an insert out of headliner cardboard, insert small screws or Split rivets, then cover in insert material, then drill holes in door card. and attach.
if you guys have any questions, you can text or email me.
thanks
John

I'll post here when I get material/a plan of attackLeave a comment:

I would very much appreciate any info/feedback when you figure out a plan. John sent me enough material for the door cards to match my seats, but I haven't had time to visit any local trim shops to ask what they recommend.^ both good points. I need to find a car with cloth door panels to see how it was done OEM and then figure out what would be cleanest from there. The convertible rears are easy since they have their own removable inserts to access the rear speakers. Perhaps I should model the fronts after the rears?

I spoke to John (Ninestitch) about door panel inserts earlier this year, when I ordered my seat kit. His recommendation was to make inserts the shape of the center section of the panel, covered in whatever material you want, and then just attached them over the existing door panel using 2-way rivets. I'm not sure what a "2-way rivet" is.I just wanna get the matching fabric and brainstorm some ideas about how to attach it to the door cards I have.. cut a hole in the door panel the size of the insert and attach the fabric to some kind of board and then glue it into the hole made? Or try to sew the fabric straight to the door card? That kind of thingLeave a comment:

I think the way to do it is to get the back of off the card, then cut out the horizontal 'lined' part, then put the material on the back of the card... You probably won't even have to sew, just use a really good fabric glue around the edge.... There's one really good one in a silver tube, RG300 or something like that, in Michaels.I just wanna get the matching fabric and brainstorm some ideas about how to attach it to the door cards I have.. cut a hole in the door panel the size of the insert and attach the fabric to some kind of board and then glue it into the hole made? ^ It was something we talked about when I had mine done. He was saying he had a bunch of stuff going on and there's always something in life that comes up. I hope he kicks it back up because I want to talk about matching door cardsLeave a comment:

I know he is crazy backed up with work right now. He is finishing off my set in about a week but it took quite a while due to his workload. I didnt know he stopped taking orders, but after talking to him recently I can see why.Leave a comment:

I would love a set for the rears and have no problems swapping the covers. His website states he isn't taking new orders. Does anyone know if its true?Leave a comment:
