These came out gorgeous. I'll have to keep this in mind. My main qualm with sport seats- sticky in the summer.Leave a comment:

^ Mike, I'm on it. I want to get everything as a set (door cars, seat backs, tonneau cover) or just dye it all. Eventually I want to dye the carpet as well.Leave a comment:

Brian you should try to pick up a set of cardinal door cards and rear.... Convertible cards if possible. I think that would look sweet, and leave the black door pulls and map pockets.

I'm in Manchester but I ordered the sewn up seat kit from a guy in NYC and spent a few nights after work putting it in. The old skins were in terrible shape and had been dyed black so I wanted to go back to the original red color. Otherwise I would have done tan, which looks fantastic on a delphin car.
That's amazing you found a convertible with a decent interior. Most I see are beat to shit. I would park it in the shade with the top up whenever you can!Leave a comment:

I absolutely love the interior on this vert man, it's the best looking color combo I've ever seen!! My "new" coupe is Delphin as well, and after seeing this, I want a cardinal interior!!! My vert is Zinnoberot, with a black interior. But both of my interiors are immaculate, and I just can't justify spending the money to change them at this point in my life, I doubt I'd change the color on the vert at all, but if I did, I'd go tan or white, just to keep the temp down in the Summer. But on my coupe, a cardinal interior would be the greatest thing ever, I get a kick out of the "cardinal" interior, it makes me think of my high school, our team name and mascot was the cardinal. But maybe down the road, if I come into some serious money, or have a need to redo the interior, I'll go cardinal.
Did I read your profile correctly? You're in CT? I'm also in CT, where did you have this work done?Leave a comment:

"Cozy" is exactly what I like about cloth over leather.
Put in rear seat headrests yesterday. A great day to do work on the car. Fall has begun but it's still warm out. I had to undo the hog rings on the top part of the seat in order to get the hardware in. Good thing I had a ton left from the interior install!

That's why I had him make me a second set of headrests. I figured if I wanted to add those, now's the time... I'm thinking about matching door card inserts now ;)I have been talking to John about some options for my car. I actually have some weird eBay replacement seats that seem to be actual leather but the color does not match anything in the BMW catalog. I need some new headrest covers for my rear headrest install, which makes me want new front covers to match, which makes me want matching eBrake/shift boots, which now has me considering doing more. Must...resist...Leave a comment:

I contacted him through the NineStitch website and he replied in a couple hours.Man I really like the cloth cardinal seats! I would like to get some sewn up for myself, can I get John's contact info? Or someone give him mine if that's more appropriate?
I've been trying for well over a year to get one of the other well known upholsterers in the BMW community to make a seat kit for me and have only gotten excuses ...
Thanks, PhillipLeave a comment:

Lol right also I went with matching red stitching instead of a different color because it was "subtle" ;-)
The summer's heat has helped with working out some of my wrinkles, mainly on the corners of the rear seat. And I had to trim the front corners of my front seat bottom centers to get them to fit snug. I think the back seat took me 3 hours, and the fronts took almost 4 hours each. I was so glad when they were finally done! My hands hurt for a week afterLeave a comment:
