Step 1. Go to the local fabric store and buy whatever you want for $5.00

Step 2. Print out the attached pattern in 11x17 (Make sure scale is set to 100%!!)

Step 3. Cut out your material and sew together as shown

Step 4. Fit your new boot to the plastic ring - check slot location w/ plastic tabs and make sure the folds fall at the corners.

Step 5. Be proud of yourself.





(Hint - this is way easier with a sewing machine :) )

that looks so simple even my wife could do it...no...no she couldn't lol. That damned sewing machine has been used twice since she begged for it 3 years ago. but how many other things that I begged for could she also say that about? haha I'll keep my mouth shut and stay out of trouble.

I made one using this pattern. I used the leather from a ripped cardinal red back seat. The issue is that the leather is very thick, because it's meant for a seat. Additionally, being old, the leather is also very tough.

I didn't end up using it for those reasons, but the pattern does work nicely.
