    Recaro Seat brackets

    Hey guys,

I am considering getting some recaro speeds for my E30. I am looking for sliders that also have height adjustment on the fly. While the E30 is a weekend car, both my girlfriend and I drive it relatively equally. Given our height difference a fixed bracket or adjustment via bolt is just not going to work. I am hoping to find one that works similarly to the stock style. Does anyone know of a company that makes this style? I've checked out Massivebrakes and Wedge engineering with no avail.

Corbeau makes double locking sliders which may work. I think Planted may as well.

Thanks for the recommendations. I'll shoot them an email as I don't see what I am looking for on their sites. Also I have never heard of Planted, which is local to me, so that is cool.

Striking out on the height adjustment.

What about fore/aft adjustment? We may be able to swing it if the seat can move more forward than the stock seat, but still move backwards a good amount.

The only way to get what you want is to use Recaro adapters with stock sport seat sliders. I think Massive Lee and Janderson make them or used to. Maybe Garagistic has something? No aftermarket slider/bracket that I know of allows for height adjustment on the fly. It's either a regular slider or tab slider (for height adjustment).

Unfortauntly Lee's don't have height adjustment either. Garagistic just has floor adapters. On the sport seats the vertical adjustment is a different mechanism from the sliders. I think I am SOL on this front.

The only bracket/slider that I can think of that has height/tilt adjustments on the fly and works with Recaro Speeds/SRs for E30 chassis would be the ones used on the Sport Evo M3. I'm not sure if they're NLA or not but they're quite pricey even on the used market.

I was trying to find those brackets on realoem. Have you ever seen any for sale? I am more curious to know what they look like and how they affix to the seat.

I've only seen a couple on s14 from the last 10 years or so.
