What a bunch of crap. $145 per side fronts, $115 / side rears. Available all day long. Don, Maximillian, probably others too. About the easiest Sport Evo thing left to source.

It's not how you handle the good times, but the faith you keep in the bad that defines you.

Damn man, calm down. Spending $530 on seat belts is still fucking stupid.

Why not just take your belts to an auto upholstery shop and have them redo them for you in red? And if they don't have red, there are several places online that you can buy it from. Then just take them to have them done.

Ha - yeah, that did come off a bit like I been on the crank pipe.

I agree completely that it's a lot of money, but buying new black ones is 75% of that cost too - and these are becoming 25 y.o. plus cars, so in my mind it's money well-ish spent to freshen up the safety features of these cars.

I guess is was the whole fascination of others with the 'red belts' that made me come off a little short. I'm as big a 'Sport Evo' freak as any, but unless you are rockin' a full interior that has red tie-ins, or a Sport Evo cloth interior, it just seems goofy. That said, the front Sport Evo (red) inertia reels are a bit better design (15% beefier) than all the black belts got, so that might be the only good reason to spend the green. Rear reels are identical, so no diff aside from color there.

I do however give a nod to anyone willing to spend the cash to buy belts over sexy euro stuff. It's not a 'feel good' purchase, but if you ever wad up the car somewhere, a new pair of black front belts might be the best money a guy could spend.

I'm going back to my crank pipe now, so expect my next post to be a little harsh too. Fair warning. :D

I spend too much time pouring over old Sport Evo micro-fiche though, so whenever I hear an easy one I guess I flip a little. Try finding rear quarter cards in S.E. cloth, and other S.E. parts in general does it to you.

I actually do want to replace my front seat belts and receivers. My front belts are getting kind of fuzzy on the edges, and I fear they could become unsafe, as well as looking nasty. Same reason for the receivers, they are faded and nasty, and nice, new ones would be good peace of mind.
