    Red seatbelts... Possible?

I've searched almost every forum and website that I could find, and I didn't get any sort of info on how difficult it is to make/buy red seatbelts for my e30.

I know that one of the Evo M3s came with red belts as a factory option, but since Evo M3s are so rare, and those that came with THAT particular option are even rarer, you can imagine how impossible it would be to find a used set.

Is there some way I could either:

    1. SOMEHOW source a set, new or used
    2. Dye my existing belts?

Any info or thoughts would be appreciated.

You can still buy them, you can find the part number on RealOEM.com. Only downside is they're about $250-275 PER SIDE. Used? You've got a better chance of looking down and seeing you've got the winning lottery numbers while getting struck by lightning and being bitten in the ass by a shark than finding a set used, but check German ebay, they're got them from time to time. I've been wanting a set for years, but just can't justify spending the green. And as for dying? Well, you can't really dye black fabric another color, it doesn't work that way.

Maybe ask the guy in Spain with the amazing M3 where he got them? It has them.

British sterling indeed. They are a highly desirable piece from the most desirable e30 though!

I'm contemplating getting the groupN e30 M3 diff shim kit for sale on that site. 40% lock for your sideways motion!

Maybe you could have the red sown in 1/16th of an inch in by a professional. Red framed in black.

750/760 seatbelts are like that, coordinated with the car's interior.

And the e36 LTW/GT M3 ones look even better, but I wouldn't like to pay a buttload for belts that turn out not fitting.

I'm seriously considering this btw... nice touch and about the rarest option available for the e30, no?

                        Thanks for the links guys.

Possibly, but they weren't really an option. They came standard on the Sport Evo, and I'm pretty sure that they weren't available otherwise.

Bump for another guy who wants to see if LTW belts fit. Just having red belts isn't special enough, I want the BMW Motorsport on them if I'm going to drop that much cash. Anybody know if they fit?
