    Hmmm, E36 dashboard?

    Hi people, first post here.
Right, in one of the English BMW mags I saw an E30 with an E36 dashboard. Now, it didn't mention how hard/easy or complicated/straightforward this might be, so I'm asking has anyone here done this? If yes, please give info on how-to. :)

Well, I saw it and now I'm just curious...
      OR....
I might be building an E30 using a brand new bare shell, and a Euro M3 E36 motor. So, I figured that it will be a lot simpler if I could use the dashboard/instruments from the E36 and not bother with adapting the E36 loom to the E30 instruments etc. ;)

Would people let this idea die already ;)

Everyone sees it in some british or german performance mag, and thinks it must be simple, or "DIY"

Try to teach a german dog to respond to Swahili commands, and you can do this.

Well that's the whole idea really. I don't know whether it's simple or not and I'm asking for anyone that has already done it to shed some light in this.

Same reason someone would put E36 body parts on an E30?

Body parts are body parts. Switching in a e36 dash because you are a moron and think that is easier then wiring the m50/s50 harness in is quite another.

Moreover, a e36 dash would look so out of place in a e30 it is not even funny.
