    Floor Mats - BavAuto???

Anyone have BavAuto's Plush mats? Wondering if you like them & if they are any good?

We need mats badly. I want a good set of mats that fit well and stay in place.

    Thoughts on any?

    TIA,
    TJW

I bought some OE ones for ~$90 for front and rear. The fit perfectly.

I want something without a logo - NICE but I also don't want to spend $150 either. I'd like to stay as close to the $100 pricepoint as possible. Looked at Pelican Parts for the first time today too.

Most important to me is that they look great and STAY IN ONE PLACE

this is something i've battled for a long time - the ever-sliding floormat.

Does anyone know if there's a snap-lock system available for our cars, like on the newer ones?

Something on Pelican had a snaplock system and I'm sure that the GOOD ($400 good) mats fit and stay put much better than the $100 - you get what you pay for so even I should heed my own advice and pay for the quality sh*t.

Not sure though - I litterally chucked my old mats because the PO had cut a slit in NON BM mats and they were bunching up behind the accel pedal. I want something made for the car and something that will STAY PUT.

ive been in the market for new mats as well...

but about this sliding mat deal, the main thing is that they slide towards the pedals. well get some hard to deform wire sort of like coat hanger-ish, bend them up to hook on to the seat mounts and hook them into the mats.

Word. They were in the box when I bought my mats. They just screw into the carpet/padding and then the mats lock onto them.

ken, are yours black with the white BMW logo on the drivers side? my passenger and rear mats are in perfect shape, but my drivers side is pretty worn out. I'd like to get a new set before they go NLA... where'd you get them?

I ordered two sets yesterday from Paul Miller BMW in NJ.

They offer 25% discount when the order totals more than $150.00, hence two sets. See ad in Bimmer Mag for details. List price $130.00. With discount $97.50.

With the factory screw clips that come with the mats, the mats cannot slide.

I have the BavAuto ones. No complaints here, They stay put more than the originals did.

hmm. might have to look into getting an OEM set then. my car came with what were once decent mats (also had the grommetted hole for the lock) but no locks, and the rubber backing had totally deteriorated into black pebbles.

i have the bavauto ones in my car. never move and very good quality.
where your feet are most of the time the carpet is thicker then the edges. also, i believe they have a lifetime warrenty.

I ended up ordering a set of BMW mats from BLUNT (i think he's on here). I feel bad because I called BavAuto and asked them for a sample - but then realized after the fact that the BMW mats aren't that much more. It'll be close to $150 shipped for the BMW ones but they have the clips and they match perfectly. BavAuto's $100 mats plus shipping will end up being only $20 less than BLUNT's OE ones. I'd rather give him the money & get the proper mats - just a personal choice.....
