I'll be damned, delete plate fit right in in place of the a/c switch!

You need to remove that ghay fader switch though ;)
I'm still using it until I actually get around to installing my audio system. I'm just running my CD changer through the stock headunit. I'm trying to talk myself into dropping the cash on an E36 BMW Business headunit. But I'll still keep it there, just not plugged in. If I put a blank plate in it, my HVAC panel won't be symmetrical anymore, and it will drive me batshit insane. That's why I got the euro panel in the first place.

Looks so clean too! I wish there was an aftermarket panel w/o the a/c or heater switches, maybe just blank area to fit gauges in or small gps / nav unit ...

There is a blanking panel for the headunit opening, but unless you've relocated it, I doubt you'd want to ditch it.

I thought about moving all the switches above the headunit to other, concealed locations and blanking those holes too, but the wiring would be a pain, and I don't want to have just a blank panel with a radio in it, have to have some stuff in there.

Yeah I got that one, used it for about a month and then bought a cdplayer lol. I was talking more about the bottom part of the panel, the whole hvac area. I am kicking around the idea of just making something custom, i'll give it a shot and use the stock panel as the template .

I have a euro (316i) HVAC panel for sale right now in perfect condition for $65 shipped with switches.

Anyone have a picture of a RHD HVAC panel with the radio hole on the right and the OBC hole on the left.
