NO tint allowed for race cars, driving schools its sometimes permitted, but foolish imho.

        tint on E30's looks bad.

shoot, well i want to autocross every time our chapter has one, and we have a local track i was going to want to race at.

but Ted's car has 35% and he's tracked it before! are you sure, sure?
oh well, some E30s look sweet with clear windows, but i'd just like a little privacy and i thinki it looks better on some others.

Go back and read what i wrote.

Its not allowed on RACE CARS.
Private vehicles are another matter. Check with your local CCA to find out what their rules and regulations are.
              They vary chapter to chapter

ie: White Mountain Chapter will not allow convertibles on track, other chapters will.

In CA it is against the law to have any tint on the fornt windows. That said, I have 15% on the rears to shade the kids during the summer when they ride in my car. I also have 35% on the fronts and as it is pretty light the cops won't hassle you for it. Does it look goofy? Sometimes I think so, but overall I am happy with it.
Just livin in the OC minus my E30

My friend just e-mailed me with a group buy for a shop that specifies in window tinting. $160-$180 for all 5 windows, the more people, the cheaper. I was thinking about 35% all around, but my interior is black so it will seem as if it was 20%.
And know that I know I couldn't auto cross my car I might not do it...

My plans were to have all five windows tinted 35%, smoked tail's, smoked indicators all around, black-out kidney, smoked ellips, and maybe some type of dark rims with a polished lip...like dave's. (see link) http://www.baye30.net/members/dave_a...ages/wheel.jpg
