Jani, I am not trying to be an ass but search this topic. There have been tons of threads on it.

They have been put into verts/coupes/sedans with modifications. Search and you will find all you are looking for.

        for best fitment...

anything will fit... but for best fitment for the vaders are to tap your own mount, using the original vader bracket. or else it'll look real funny...

Yes they do. I actually just sold my set to a user on bimmerforums.

I had e36 sport seats in mine. Not sure of the dimensions of Vaders, but my bolsters hit the center console, even with the frames as far to the outside of the car as they could be.

Not to thread jack, but I have always wondered about putting them in the iX. Never heard of anyone doing it. I would thinnk the x-fer case would be an issue. Does any one else know?

Why would the transfer case have anything to do with the seats?

it sticks up throught the floorboard on the side of the tranny tunnel on the d. side. Thats why iX's slider levers are bent. But I dont kow if the tracks would be a big deal or not. I've read diy's on how to put them into non-ix e30's, but I dont know if its different for an iX.

From what I remember about putting vaders into my cabrio, and having just put recaros in my ix (2 nights ago), I think that vaders would probably fit fine. You could always make a simple bracket to mount them back an inch or so... i dont even think that would take welding equipment.

I had a pair of vaders in my E30 before I ripped them out and replaced them with MTechs which I am very much happier with.

The MTechs are much more comfortable for me and I could never get to a right seating position with the vaders, they always felt too high, like you are sitting ON the seat rather than IN them, if you know what I mean.

Plus the Vaders weigh at least a ton.

my standard "i" seats feel the same way.
