now the only ugly thing about my center console is the automatic shifter, hopefully this summer that will be taken care of though, I also got rid of the e30 heated seat switches and will be relocating them to keep my center console clean

Wow, that makes a pretty big difference. Do they operate more smooth than the antiquated e30 ones?

yeah they do, the old e30 ones just become really hard to use after a while, they stick and require more force. very simple mod, some time with a safety knife, and dremel to cut the center console and the switches only require splicing 4 wires. Think this mod cost me $50 for switches wiring and new center console

Looks awesome, Nate. I've been wanting to do something like that for a long time. I once saw someone swap in an entire E36 center console, which would be nice. Like you, I HATE the e30 switches, they are much more difficult to use than they need to be.

That'll be my next project after I redo the exhaust.

I was going to do this actually, the 318ti center console looks almost identical shapewise, but I didn't want to spend all the money for the console and find out it looked like shit in my interior or didn't fit like I thought it would
