to be honest, you probably got about 10 hours of hand sanding to get that smooth enough to paint and pull it off looking stock. If you wrap it in vinyl you could stop there but there are some complex curves that would take some good knowledge of wrapping and or sending it to an upholstery shop to do it for you. You might check the auto parts supply store and find that there is other filler thiner and easier to fill in the hard to get spaces using the bondo filler. Good luck!Leave a comment:

Only way to "fix" that mess you have there is to cover it vinyl or leater or something .
Good idea , bad execution FTL .Leave a comment:

Fuck me, I can back from the first coat and read this. Would there be a way to fix this after the paint? Time isn't an issue. I want it looking good. :DLeave a comment:

Id hold off on painting it till you get that thing baby smooth. When you paint it you will see every wave and dimple in the body filler.Leave a comment:

Update!!!
Second filler and sand. ;)

Third and final filler and sand.

It is in the process of being painted right now. I think I will want to sleeve it in CF if possible, that will make it look cleaner. :pLeave a comment:

Yeah, I saw some CF console it looks good if done right. Where can I get the material for that? I am going to do black for now but I am sure I can put some CF for later. :DLeave a comment:

LOL. I see. I have a spare tub of that stuff when I was finishing the sub enclosure and speaker pods. I would have given it to you to play with. Post it up on the Miami thread. They slack but will eventually have a meet. Usually when your car is down or not driveable in my case. I hear you on the Hialeah CHONGAS. They make me laugh tho.Leave a comment:

Wow, Soviet.
A local whose not intimidated by the word fabricate! I like the effort. Regardless there are others in the u-pullits you can pick up a few and try again if your not happy
with it. Can't wait to see it done so I can take some ideas and do one myself. Good Luck.
Ha ha, I don't play! I went to NAPA and saw they had fiberglass. :( Should have used that, would have weighed less. Whatever, there is a first time for everything. If anything I'll give this one to my friends, take his center console and make another one (with fiberglass) if it comes out good.
Don't know how I am going to finish it yet, doing it little by little. Hoping this comes out good. I am going to the Pembroke meet they have on Thursday (e46fanatics). Anyone going? Feel like meeting some people who care about their BMWs, not just those sleezy Hialeah women.

So what do you plan on using for a finish?
Are you going to wrap that in vinyl or paint it or what?Leave a comment:
