I agree with you. I only got those, because one of my rubber stock pieces was missing, the other one kept falling off, and the gas pedal looked like ass. So I got those for probably what BMW would charge for new rubber pedal covers. But i do think people notice, thats where i got the idea. A buddy of mime had some and i thought it looked nice and clean.

You can't be serious. Seriously, how shallow can you get? They nothing more than CNC'd pieces of aluminum. So the knockoffs are probably cheaper metal than the ACS ones, but is it REALLY that important? More to a point, $500 more important? Enough to carry the damn paperwork around with you? I'm sorry, but if you're so insecure that you're so worried that people might think less of you because your FOOT PEDALS might be fake, so much that you have to actually carry the documentation around with you to prove to the (I'm willing to bet) 5 people year that yours are actually real, that's just pathetic.

I am SO tired of this "holier than thou" attitude that people get with shit like these pedals, Konig Remembers, aftermarket and OEM BMW body kit replicas, and so forth. I wonder if the 99.9% of Shelby Cobra owners whose cars are replicas get this much shit.

I have the fake ones, and EVERY TIME someone has pointed them out, I tell them they're the knockoffs, and every single person says the same thing. "Those are fakes? Damn, they look exactly like the real ones. That's awesome". I don't have any problem with people buying super expensive parts for their cars if they have the money. You can't take it with you, so have fun with it. But please, don't talk down to the people who don't have the $3k to spend on wheels and $500 to spend on pedals, when they can get something that looks just as good and does the job just as well for a fraction of the price. The only thing you're proving to me when you pull out your documentation is how much you care about what everyone thinks about you.

WTF are you talking about? Have you seen this guys car? After a while you run out things on the car to replace. He has everything else already, short of ti body panels and Motion Suspension tidbits. You gotta spend it somewhere, and you can't take it with you. Maybe he likes expensive shoes and they would have been lonely without the baller pedals. Have you seen his brakes/transmission? I would be wasting money on silly pedals too.
